Transactions

Process sales, handle payments, and manage transaction history.

Processing a Sale

1. Navigate to Point of Sale 2. Add products to the cart:

• Scan barcode with scanner
• Search by name or SKU
• Click product from inventory list

3. Review cart items and quantities 4. Apply discount if needed (optional) 5. Select payment method:

• Cash: Enter amount tendered, change is calculated
• Card: Process via Stripe Terminal (if configured)

6. Click "Complete Sale" 7. Receipt prints automatically (if configured)

Payment Methods

Cash

• Enter the amount tendered by customer
• Change due is calculated automatically
• Cash drawer opens (if configured)

Card

• Requires Stripe Terminal integration
• Follow on-screen prompts to process card
• Receipt prints after successful payment

Voiding Transactions

1. Navigate to Transactions 2. Find the transaction to void 3. Click "Void" 4. Enter a reason for the void 5. Confirm void

Refunding Transactions

1. Navigate to Transactions 2. Find the transaction to refund 3. Click "Refund" 4. Confirm refund

Transaction History

View all past transactions from Transactions:

• Filter by date range
• Search by transaction ID
• View detailed receipt
• Export to CSV (if enabled)

Discounts

Apply discounts to individual items or the entire cart:

• Item Discount: Click the item and enter discount amount
• Cart Discount: Enter percentage or fixed amount discount
