Service catalog
The service catalog is the base of the booking flow. Each service should have a clear customer-facing name, duration, price, assigned category, and assigned staff. Add extras for optional upgrades such as products, extended time, special treatments, or add-on services.
Categories
Categories keep the public booking form easy to scan. Use customer language such as Hair, Nails, Makeup, Facial, Massage, Bridal, or Consultation instead of internal department names.
Staff assignment
Assign only qualified staff to each service. Availability is only useful when staff assignments match the real team schedule and skill set.
Working hours
Working hours define bookable windows. Breaks, holidays, blocked time, existing bookings, service buffers, and staff capacity reduce available slots.
Capacity
Capacity rules control how many bookings can happen at the same time. Use conservative defaults for services that need dedicated rooms, equipment, or specialist staff.
Operational guidance
Review staff schedules weekly, especially before holidays, campaign launches, or seasonal peaks. Incorrect schedules are the most common cause of missing or overbooked slots.
