How a European Manufacturer Replaced 5 Legacy Systems with One Laravel ERP
From 80 hours of manual data entry per week to a single real-time platform saving $120,000/year
A mid-sized European manufacturer was losing $360K/year to manual processes across 5 disconnected systems. XCodeSol built a unified Laravel ERP that cut data entry by 80% and gave the CEO real-time visibility from his phone.
Key Business Results & Performance Metrics
Client Challenges & Problem Scope
5 Disconnected Systems, Zero Visibility
Our client, a European manufacturing enterprise with 500+ employees, ran on five completely disconnected systems: inventory in Excel spreadsheets, HR attendance on paper forms, finance on a legacy desktop application, sales in a separate CRM, and procurement via email threads. 80+ hours per week wasted on double-entry. Inventory reports had 15% error rates. The monthly financial close took 14 days. Leadership had zero real-time visibility.
$360K/Year in Operational Waste
We calculated the true cost: $94,000/year in salaries wasted on manual data entry, $48,000/year in excess inventory from inaccurate stock levels, and approximately $220,000/year in delayed invoicing due to slow financial closes. Total: over $360,000/year in operational inefficiency.
Engineered Solutions & Technical Strategy
Discovery: 2 Weeks On-Site Stakeholder Interviews
Before writing code, we embedded with the client's team for two full weeks. We interviewed department heads, shadowed warehouse staff, sat with finance during month-end close, and mapped all 127 workflows across five departments. We identified 37 redundant data entry points where the same information was being typed into multiple systems.
Laravel + Vue.js + Real-Time WebSockets
ERP on Laravel 10 with Vue.js 3 SPA frontend. Real-time updates via Laravel WebSockets backed by Redis. Laravel Horizon for job processing. Deployed on AWS with Docker containers. Modular architecture: each business function (HR, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, Sales) is a self-contained domain module sharing common auth and audit layers.
Phased Rollout: 2-Week Sprints
Modules deployed in order of business impact: HR, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, Sales. Each with on-site training + 1-week parallel run alongside the old system — giving teams confidence before switching over completely.
